Music Moment: Beyonce

So earlier this morning Sasha aka Beyoce released 'Halo' and 'Diva' apon the world.

Halo

I have never bought a Beyonce album so I didn't start this time around either (pause ofr reaction). But I've heard so many accolades about this song so I had to view the video. And it is idyllic.I will say this, in the video I see Beyonce circa early 2000 when she was on that episode 'Smart Guy'. She appearded so sweet, kind and down to Earth. Sasha was no where on this video, and it was glamorous.Beyonce has come along way since then but being in love works for her.

Diva

There go Sasha! No doubt this song is tab bit arrogant and pompous but don't act like you haven't already picked out the line of the song that will be your headline on Myspace (mine is 'no passengers on my plane, just felt like sharing).

Merry Christmas!

The National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is the elixer to anyone's Christmas blues! The following clip is CLASSIC! Enjoy!

Crank that...

When will these "Crank that..." dances stop? Let's see there's crank that superman, crank that homeless man, crank that Ricky bobby, crank that Temptations, crank that bird walk. Then there are dances such as 'My Dougie', the stanky leg, the booty-do and so on. Are these dances legitimate? Are these dances all the rave at our local Jr. High schools? When will it stop? The future is grim for any future dance move to be made because it looks as if we're clusterfucked when it comes time for family get togethers. I know damn well that my grandmother will not 'Crank that Bird walk' nor she does have a 'Dougie'. Maybe this is all some humiliating ruse by Flava Flav...yeah, that's what it is...since his ass looks like a real live Blackface, we all should act like one.

Jizz in my pants

This post is an exotic taste for this blog but I must admit, I found the above video majestic and I'm far from ashame to admit it.

'The Dark Knight' still breaking records

Like every other man child, freak and geek, I bum rushed the movie theater to bask in the glory that is 'The Dark Knight'. Now I will admit that I had no intention of seeing this movie but after being pestered then being called a partypooper by my slightly younger and more aggressive cousin (him and his mother are Batman stans as well as die hard 'X-Men' fans as well which I am, the X-men part then only the movies at that) bullied me into spending my Dollar Menu money for the week on a movie ticket. Being the Negros that we are, we bounced into the theater 10 minutes after showtime which meant there were little to no seats in a sea of faces lacking in color (white people). Sidebar for a minute, we seem to live by CP time because the rare times that we do attend movies, we're late and this applies to church as well. But back to the topic at hand, I had every little faith in this movie. I figure that people where simply seeing the movie because Heath had passed. I ate those words and then some. I'm a bit of a rebel because sometimes I root for the villain and there hasn't been a 'bad guy' that cool since Scarface or dude from 'The Breakfast Club'. The Joker was a mastermind with an demonic vile yet genius plan.Watch the following clips to peep The Joker's psychotic swag...

After seeing those, I had to think, Heath had to be in some serious pain and sorrow because The Joker was dark and demented and Heath played him very well which is scary. Thoughts? Click the link above to read how The Joker is still making moves to being a 'bad guy' legend.

Movie Maddness

This month two genius plays have been transformed into major motion films and I'm anxious to spend, what 8 or 9 dollars at the movie box per ticket to view these movies. Both 'Doubt' and 'Frost/Nixon' each have received 5 Golden Globe nominations.

World AIDS Day

This is one national recognized day that does not have a "happy" in front of it. At times it seems like the world is doing things in vain. What I mean is, America elected Barack yet still million lives are going to lost this year regardless if America isn't at war. I really don't want to touch too much on this topic. I will let you in on something however, AIDS is one if not the main reason I'm still holding onto my virginity. The following video is on an young man barely living while he's HIV positive.

Black Friday: Was it that serious?

I'm sure by now we've all heard the story of the Wal-mart employee being trambled to death on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Then I heard a story about two men shooting and losing their lives in the process at Toys'R' Us. Now it's been said that the last one was gang related but I beg to differ, we've all been into Toys'R'Us at least once and seen kids act a damn fool when their denied a toy, so I'm sure these two men were willing to die before returning home empty handed to Jr. But can I just take a moment to laugh? The unsettling fact that a life was lost in the great quest to find whatever it was that got those jaded shoppers up at the wee hours of the morning, is not funny but the story is undeniable funny. Now I've only attended a Black Friday event once, with my cheap aunt and I laughed my ass off. There was a swarm of depressed Wal-Mart shoppers willing to do anything to part the doors and go lurking for marked down items. And when they opened the doors? Pure mayhem yet it was like watching 'Being Brown': it's funny yet so, so, so sad. Watch the following video and laugh...
